Queenston Heights


Situated on the top of the Niagara Escarpment, it is here that Niagara Fallls started approx. 12,000 years ago.


Queenston Heights park is the site of a major battle of the War of 1812, betweeen Great Britain and the United States.


On October 13, 1812, the British General Sir Isaac Brock was killed here. A monument in his honor was erected in 1856, Canada's highest at 50 meters (164 ft.).


This picture stop offers a lovely view overlooking the Niagara River.
